Annadan

"Annadan" means the donation or offering of food, especially to the needy or in a religious context. It comes from the Sanskrit words "Anna" (meaning food) and "Danam" (meaning donation). In Hindu tradition, it is considered a sacred act of charity, signifying the giving of life through food.
