Hanuman Jayanti (Sanskrit: हनुमज्जयंती, romanized: Hanumajjayantī), also called Hanuman Janmotsav,[6] is a Hindu festival celebrating the birth of the Hindu deity, and one of the protagonists of the Ramayana and its many versions, Hanuman. The celebration of Hanuman Jayanti varies by time and tradition in each state of India. In most northern states of India, the festival is observed on the full-moon day of the Hindu month of Chaitra (Chaitra Purnima).

हनुमान जयंती (संस्कृत: हनुमज्जयंती, रोमन भाषेत: हनुमज्जयंती), ज्याला हनुमान जन्मोत्सव देखील म्हणतात, [6] हा हिंदू देवता आणि रामायण आणि त्याच्या अनेक आवृत्त्यांमधील एक नायक हनुमान यांच्या जन्माचा उत्सव साजरा करणारा एक हिंदू सण आहे. भारतातील प्रत्येक राज्यात हनुमान जयंतीचा उत्सव वेळ आणि परंपरेनुसार बदलतो. भारतातील बहुतेक उत्तरेकडील राज्यांमध्ये, हा सण हिंदू महिन्याच्या चैत्र पौर्णिमेच्या दिवशी (चैत्र पौर्णिमा) साजरा केला जातो.
